WRAL.com is reporting that two men were killed when the moped they were riding was struck by an SUV in Greene County on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.  The wreck then resulted in several other auto collisions, including one where one of the riders of the moped was run over by another vehicle.  The State Highway Patrol had not issued charges in the collision, and appeared to still be trying to sort out events, as Troopers told reporters that the SUV rear-ended the moped, but that the moped was not permitted to be operating unlimited access highways like US 264.

ABC11.com is reporting that an accident on Thursday, October 8, 2015 knocked out power to parts of Garner and blocked traffic on US 401.

And in another ABC11 report, a passenger was killed after a garbage truck overturned in a single-vehicle accident on Thursday morning in Harnett County.  Another passenger and the driver were both injured.  Troopers were investigating and had not yet issued charges against the driver.
