There are no attorney fees unless we win your school bus accident case and you receive compensationThe Goldsboro News-Argus recently reported about a traffic crash involving a dump truck hitting a school bus. Fortunately, the 37 children on the school bus at the time of the wreck were able to avoid injury. As of this writing, police were still investigating the wreck, which involved the dump truck rear-ending the school bus at the intersection of Sycamore Street and Olivia Lane.

Prior to the collision, the school bus was traveling along Sycamore Street carrying the kids to North Drive Elementary. The dump truck was behind the bus on Sycamore.

As the school bus slowed down to make a left onto Olivia Lane, the dump truck could not slow down in time, resulting in the truck crashing into the back of the bus.

Reportedly, the dump truck driver could receive a citation for failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision due to the crash.

What Should I Do If My Child Is in a School Bus Accident?

Following a school bus accident, or any type of wreck, the most important thing is to make sure that anyone involved receives immediate medical attention if they require it.

After that, you should speak to an experienced personal injury attorney about the situation.

Even if you do not plan to file a lawsuit, you need to know your legal rights and the best options for your family’s future.

If your child suffered a severe injury in the wreck, he or she may need medical assistance for the rest of his or her life, which is expensive. Personal injury claims enable families to secure financial help for hospital bills, lost income (including projected future earnings) and rehabilitation expenses.
