Personal Injury / Workers’ Compensation
Attorney: Gene Riddle
Client sustained a compensable injury to his head, neck, back, arms, chest, and shoulders, when a load of lumber was dropped on him by a third party while Plaintiff was making a delivery in a warehouse. Plaintiffs’ injuries were severe and the cost of his medical treatment was astronomical. The worker’s compensation carrier paid all medical bills which exceeded several hundred thousand dollars and paid all wage loss until the date of settlement.
Riddle and Brantley successfully settled the third party claim for $685,000 in additional compensation beyond what the workers’ compensation carrier paid. The workers’ compensation carrier paid an additional annuity of $6,000 per year for a period of 33 years and waived its entire lien on the third party settlement. Gene Riddle represented the injured worker in both claims.
