Attorney Scott Scurfield Participates in 4ALL Statewide Service Day
On March 2, 2018, Scott Scurfield, our Lead Social Security Disability attorney, participated in the 11th Annual 4ALL Statewide Service Day. This event is sponsored by the North Carolina Bar Association and provides North Carolina residents with the opportunity to speak to an attorney for free.
Scott along with 500 other legal volunteers answered over 8300 calls across 7 state-wide call centers. Scurfield specifically served as a disability “floater” where he was available to assist other volunteers with questions regarding Social Security Disability. He is also recognized by the NC State Bar as a certified specialist in Social Security Disability.
For several years now, Scott has participated in this event and has gained a great passion in helping the public with their legal needs.
“It is always encouraging to see how many lawyers are willing to donate 3 to 4 hours of their time to a good cause,” said Scurfield. “The sheer volume of calls that come in every year shows the public’s need for basic legal information, free of charge”.
Gene along with other members of the management team thank Scott for his participation in this event and dedication to providing legal assistance to the public.
“At Riddle & Brantley, we take great pride in serving our community, said Gene Riddle. “Events like the 4ALL Statewide Service Day allow attorneys to volunteer their time in an area they are most comfortable in. Scott is a great asset to our Social Security team and we thank him for his dedication to this event”.
