We may advise you to remove postings on social media, but if suit has been filed, you may have a legal duty to preserve all postings and information contained in all of your social media so that you do not destroy or spoil evidence. As social media is still new to many issues in persona injury cases, it is unclear as to what information may be obtained. Whether it will be necessary to provide this information will depend, in part, on your expectation of privacy and whether your postings where public or available to anyone. Prior to removing any information, you should consult with your attorney.
