Our clients ask us all the time, what is under-insured motorist coverage. What is uninsured motorist coverage. We explain it very well on our website. I encourage you to read about it for a full explanation. But I can make it very simple. First, uninsured coverage. Uninsured coverage is exactly what it says. It means the other driver who’s at fault did not have any insurance. For whatever reason, they have no coverage. If you have uninsured coverage, in most cases people have uninsured coverage. Your carrier will step into the shoes of the other party and pay your claim as an uninsured claim. Under-insured coverage is exactly what it says. It means the person who is responsible for the accident had insurance, but they didn’t have enough insurance to pay you for your damages. Under-insured coverage only applies to injury. It does not apply to property damage. Uninsured coverage applies to injury and property damage. Please give us a call or send us an email. We’re here. We’re ready to help. Justice Counts.
