  • Opening insurance claims;
  • Drafting and sending of legal correspondence (providers, insurance carriers, employers);

  • Communication with providers and insurance carriers to verify treatment;
  • Assisting attorney in managing settlements and preparation of settlement disclosure statements.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of customer service experience;

Riddle & Brantley seeks a Workers’ Compensation Case Manager to join our Goldsboro, NC office. This position provides assistance to attorneys in our workers’ compensation department and performs an integral role in assisting with the day to day management of the attorneys’ practices. Responsibilities
  • Managing the complete medical records process, including but not limited to, requesting, summarizing, indexing and producing medical records summaries;
  • Assisting with discovery matters, including drafting discovery and obtaining documentation for response to discovery requests;
  • Drafting deposition summaries;
  • Case file management;
  • Keeping up to date on firm and legal industry policies and procedures as they relate to the above duties;
  • General office duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or paralegal certification preferred;
  • At least 1 year of workers’ compensation experience preferred;
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Ability to effectively manage a high volume case load;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deal effectively with all clients, internally and externally;

Job Description

Riddle & Brantley seeks a full-time Field Investigator. This role’s primary responsibility will be to engage and sign potential new clients throughout North Carolina who have contacted our firm for representation. Secondary duties will include follow-up investigations of accidents. Meetings may take place at client’s home, place of work, or another location of their choosing. Additionally, you may be required to assist in special assignments to best represent the interests of our clients. The job will occasionally require local travel and possible after-hours or on-call work. Prior Law Enforcement background is requested; the ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Litigation Paralegal (Raleigh location)

We are looking for a skilled litigation paralegal with office management experience. The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process, including conducting interviews, legal research, document filing and attending trials. Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments;
  • Draft pleadings, motions and appellate documents and file them with the court;
  • Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics etc.);
  • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes;
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices;

Qualifications

  • Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail;
  • Extensive computer and database expertise;
  • Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification.
