What happens to the actual tractor-trailer or large truck after a wreck depends on the amount of damage done to the tractor-trailer or the truck. If the amount of damage is minimal. It will go back to the shop owned by the owner of the truck for repairs. If it's damaged so that it's not drivable it will go to a repair shop. If it's totaled it will eventually be towed to a facility that takes care of total loss vehicles. Including total lost tractor trailers and trucks. And most importantly that wrecked tractor trailer or truck, large truck, will be in the control of that insurance company. Or the owner of the vehicle.
