Our client was a passenger in an Uber vehicle when another driver ran a stop sign and t-boned the Uber car. Our client injured his back but also suffered from pre-existing degenerative disc disease. We worked with the Doctor to provide us with documentation that the auto wreck aggravated his pre-existing condition and contributed to the need for back surgery to help the pre-existing back condition. The client incurred approximately $55,000 in medical bills. The claim was settled shortly after suit papers were provided to the insurance carrier for the Uber car. $50,000 was paid by the insurance carrier for the at-fault car and $289,500 was paid by the carrier for the Uber car, totaling $339,500 in compensation.
